BIOGRAPHY



He was born in San Francisco in 1930, but was raised mostly in Oakland.

When he was young listened to the music of Charlie Parker in a concert in Oakland in 1946. He filmed the life of Charlie Parker in "Bird" (1988).

He had married Maggie Johson (she was his first wife), who met on a blind-date. At present he is married to Dina Ruiz 30 years younger than him. He married 6 times and had 8 children.

He began his career in the small screen with the TV-western "Rawhide" (1959-1966).

Clint had many occupations: Lumberjack, forest fire fighter, steelworker.

Clint served in the army during the Korean war from 1950 to 1954.

Almost lost his life in a plane crash in the Atlantic. Had to swim 3 miles to safety. After the incident he was assigned swimming director of Fort Ord in California.

He began his career in the cinema with the film "Revenge of the Creature" (1955), he was a laboratory technician.

He became a star in Europe with his character of "The man with no name" in the spaghetti-western by Sergio Leone (1964).



He founded his own production company, Malpaso in 1967.

His first film as director was " Play Misty for me", Eastwood was a disc jockey on a radio station in the small city of Carmel (California) (1971).

He was the mayor of Carmel, California (1986-1988).

The jazz has a very special place in his heart, because he loves its music. In 1996 in a show in Carnegie Hall which name was "Eastwood After hours", he was one night of Jazz, with a lot of piano players dedicate a tribute to him for the respect showed for the jazz in his films.

"Dirty Harry" catapulted his popularity, and become a leyend of the cinema. (1971).

He won two Oscars for the movies "Unforgiven" (1993) and "Million Dolar Baby" (2005).

He has his own brand of beer, is called "Pale rider" like the film with the same name.

He dedicated his best film "Unforgiven". He had two teachers Sergio Leone and Don Siegel.


Only made the trio of spaghetty westerns for Leone: "A fistfull of dollars", "For a few dollars more" and "The good, the bad and the ugly".

He made for Siegel five films: "Dirty Harry", "Two mules for sister Sara", "Coogan´s Bluff", "The Beguiled" ( The only character in his carreeer who is the bad of the film), and "Scape from Alcatraz".

He dedicated his best film "Unforgiven" to his teachers.
